About Me

I've spent a lifetime as a journalist in Bucks County, working for newspapers and magazines as reporter and editor, and I wanted to share my knowledge of this special place.

My book, Bucks County Pennsylvania, published by Schiffer Publishing Ltd., includes fascinating story/essays and personal notes about this wondrous county. I also took the nearly 200 full-color photographs to complement the stories.

A graduate of Barnard College, Columbia University, I majored in English literature with writing as a special field. I've been writing ever since--and even before college; my first little news article was published in a metropolitan newspaper when I was only 12.

I am a frequent contributor to Bucks County Herald and Lehigh Valley Marketplace. My work has been featured in the Bucks County Courier Times, The Intelligencer, Human Resource Executive, Risk & Insurance, Dog Fancy, Eastern Pennsylvania Business Journal, Pennsylvania SuperLawyer, New Jersey SuperLawyer, Business News Daily.com and several college alumni magazines.

I'm a member of the Pennsylvania Women's Press Association and served as southeastern district director; former editor of the Durham Historical Society Newsletter and a former member of the board of the Riegelsville Public Library.

I've always loved writing profiles of interesting people. I consider this book an extension of that--a profile of a very interesting place.
